The role and place of local self-government bodies in the system of legal regulation of territorial defense of Ukraine: administrative and legal dimension

Abstract

The article provides an in-depth analysis of the role and place of local self-government bodies in the system of legal regulation of territorial defense of Ukraine from an administrative and legal point of view. The author aims to investigate the legislative and administrative aspects of the interaction of local self-government bodies with central state authorities in order to ensure the effectiveness and coordination of measures in the field of territorial defense. The article places special emphasis on modern challenges facing local self-government bodies in the context of national security and territorial stability. In particular, the problems associated with ensuring an effective response to threats and challenges, coordinating actions between different levels of government, and preserving territorial integrity and stability are analyzed. As a result of the conducted research, it is indicated the need to improve the administrative and legal dimension of the role and place of local self-government bodies in the system of legal regulation of territorial defense. Proper legal regulation of this area is an important factor in ensuring the coordination and effectiveness of territorial defense measures. It has been proven that the effective provision of territorial defense largely depends on the understanding and proper use by local self-government bodies of their powers and duties in this process. The article highlights the need for further research and development of legal and administrative regulation that would take into account modern challenges and ensure a high level of cooperation between local and central authorities in the context of territorial defense.
