The Goal and Objectives of Public Associations in Ukraine

Abstract

The article, based on the analysis of current legislation, as well as theoretical approaches of scientists, reveals certain aspects of the legal status of public associations in Ukraine. In particular, the problem of determining the purpose and objectives of the activities of public associations in Ukraine, as well as their significance for society, is investigated. It is established that, despite a significant number of scientific works, there is no unified approach to understanding the purpose of such associations in the legislation and doctrine. Theoretical approaches to determining the role and place of public associations in the political, social and economic spheres are analyzed, as well as the norms of current legislation regulating their activities. The constituent documents of individual public organizations are analyzed and the goals and objectives of their activities are singled out. The author's vision of the goals and objectives of the activities of public associations in Ukraine is formulated. It is substantiated that the main goal of the activities of public associations is to protect the rights, freedoms and interests of individual groups of the population, as well as to satisfy their material and spiritual needs in various spheres of public life. The main tasks of public associations are identified.
