Features of the impact of globalization processes on the legal systems of the modern world

Abstract

The article highlights the issue of the impact of globalization processes on the legal systems of the modern world and their development. The relationship between globalization and the harmonization of national legal systems, which is an important factor in the development of democratic states, is analyzed. Attention is drawn to the fact that globalization is one of the most influential factors in the development of modern civilization, covering all spheres of life. It is noted that globalization has a significant impact on the legal sphere. It contributes to the convergence of different legal systems, the unification of legal norms and principles, and the strengthening of interstate cooperation in the field of human rights protection. This is expressed in the harmonization of national legislation with international standards, which is especially relevant for Ukraine in the context of its aspiration for European integration. It is indicated that globalization affects all parts of the legal system, including legal norms, principles, legal consciousness and legal culture. One of the key aspects is the interpenetration of legal traditions of different countries, which can both contribute to the modernization of the legal system and create threats to national legal identity. Despite this, globalization contributes to the modernization of legal institutions and stimulates the development of universal legal mechanisms that ensure effective legal regulation in an interdependent world. It is concluded that globalization is a determining factor in the evolution of legal systems, contributing to their integration, unification and transformation. It changes the essence of law both at the national and global levels, requiring states to adapt their legal systems to the new realities of the world legal space.
