PECULIARITIES OF THE SETTING AND PAYMENT OF CHILD-BIRTH ASSISTANCE

Abstract

The priorities of the social policy of Ukraine, which have universal and family values as their advantages, have been characterized. Therefore, the country has legislated minors and their families as the most vulnerable population.It is proved that for the birth of a child, one of the parents must collect all the necessary documents to confirm that he has the right to such assistance. One of the main documents, which is the basis for the appointment of assistance for the birth of a child to parents is the birth certificate of the child; Guardians – the decision to establish a guardianship. The body of labor and social protection of the population at the place of residence of one of the parents (guardian) with which the child is permanently resident has the right to receive information from the state authorities, local authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations necessary for the appointment of assistance at the birth of a child.

Describes the cases of appointment of caregivers at the birth of the child. Assistance is assigned to each child taken into care in the amount set at the birth of the child. If the childbirth assistance has already been assigned to the time of the establishment of the guardianship, the care of the guardian is continued at the same amount.

It has been proved that childbirth assistance plays an important role in the material provision of a family with children, as it has been repeatedly argued that for a large proportion of families this assistance is the only source of income. Therefore, the state needs to develop the main directions of social policy in relation to the improvement of legislation that regulates the appointment and payment of childbirth assistance, as well as to direct their efforts to stabilize the economic situation in the country and, accordingly, to increase social benefits for families with children, in particular number and birth assistance.
