INDIGENOUS INCARCERATION IN AUSTRALIA: CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES

The article is concerned with the identification of causes and consequences of the high crime rate and the relevant raising of the prison population and convicts’ level among Australian indigenous. The experience in working about а crime pre-vention of the Australian Penitentiary System has been studied due to the differ-ences of culture and customs, the possibility of its usage in Ukraine has been ana-lyzed.
