Directions for improving the National Police in the conditions of martial law

Abstract

The study takes into account the current features of the martial law in Ukraine in the context of the activities of police units, singles out the category "combat mode of functioning of police units" as a complex of directions of police activity characteristic of the martial law regime, the categories "combat situation" and "combat situation" as states of objective realities, in the conditions of which new organizational, material and technical approaches to the organization of activities under martial law are established, as well as the main directions of improvement of police units under martial law are defined.

Taking into account the results of the conducted research, taking into account the specific conditions of martial law, the authors emphasized the need for normative and legal consolidation of the specified provisions, conducting further research with the aim of forming the broadest possible vision of police activities under martial law, including holding conferences at the all-Ukrainian and international levels with involving both scientists and practical employees of the police and other agencies that interact with it under martial law. The authors emphasized the need to involve representatives of international organizations, monitoring missions, as well as scientists and representatives of law enforcement agencies of those countries that have experience in combating terrorism and ensuring public safety and order in armed conflicts in the scientific understanding of this issue.
