Archiving and long-term open access storage policy
- General Provisions
The scholarly journal provides open, free, and permanent access to published materials in accordance with the principles of Open Science and the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
All articles are available immediately upon publication without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
Users are permitted to:
- read, download, copy, distribute, and use the materials;
- copy, distribute, and print full-text articles;
- provided that proper attribution to the original source is given.
- Licensing Policy
The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
This means that:
- authors retain copyright;
- the journal holds the right of first publication;
- any use of the materials is permitted provided proper citation is given.
Authors are entitled to archive (deposit) the final version of their articles (Author’s Accepted Manuscript — AAM) in institutional or subject repositories, as well as on personal or institutional websites where it is openly accessible. This ensures maximum visibility and impact of the publication, provided that a proper reference to the official journal version is included.
- Long-Term Digital Preservation
The journal implements a multi-level archiving system to ensure long-term preservation of content:
International level:
- use of the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN);
- integration with LOCKSS / CLOCKSS networks (via the Open Journal Systems platform).
National level:
- deposit of mandatory electronic copies in national libraries;
- preservation in national scientific repositories.
This ensures:
- protection against data loss;
- continued access regardless of technical or organizational changes.
- Journal Archive
Full-text articles and metadata (title, authors, abstract, keywords) are available:
- on the official journal website (Archive section);
- in national and institutional repositories;
- in open databases for indexing.
Published materials remain accessible indefinitely.
- Self-Archiving Policy
The journal supports authors’ rights to disseminate their research results.
Authors are entitled to:
- deposit the accepted manuscript (post-print) in institutional repositories;
- share the final published version (Version of Record) after publication;
- use academic social networks and open platforms.
Mandatory conditions:
- inclusion of a full bibliographic reference;
- provision of an active DOI link to the publication.
- Access to Research Data
The journal supports Open Science principles and encourages authors to:
- provide access to primary data;
- use specialized repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Harvard Dataverse);
- include a Data Availability Statement in the article.
- Metadata and Indexing
Article metadata:
- are made openly available;
- are transmitted to international databases (Crossref );
- facilitate indexing and enhance the visibility of publications.
- Guarantees of Continuous Access
The journal guarantees:
- permanent preservation of published materials;
- access to content regardless of changes in platform, policies, or ownership;
- backup and duplication of data.
- Funding and Access
Publication and access to articles:
- are provided free of charge to readers;
- do not impose any restrictions on access to full texts.
