Концепція виправного покарання Бенджаміна Раша

Автором проаналізовано есе Дослідження впливу публічних покарань на злочинців і суспільство (1787 р.) одного із піонерів американської пенології, соціального реформатора Бенджаміна Раша. Визначено основні складові концепції виправного покарання, розробленої Б. Рашем, її витоки, зв'язок з європейським пенальним дискурсом, а також вплив ідей просвітника на формування американських пенітенціарних систем.
